Fort Hommet Nature Reserve, Guernsey

Saturday 7th May: Walk along the cliff top from Pleinmont towards Rocquine Bay.

Sunday 8th May: Started with a walk around Hommet Nature reserve/fort.

Followed by a lazy lunch and walk around Rousse. Rousse tower is a pre-Martello loophole tower built to defend against the French, who sided with the Americans during the American war of independence.

Monday 9th May:  Joined in Guernsey's celebrations for Liberation day in St. Peters Port. On 9th May 1945 (5 days after D-Day) the Channel Islands of Guernsey and Jersey  where liberated. The German occupation forces surrendering to 'Task Force 135' in operation 'Nestegg'.

Tue 10th May: It rained much of the day and I was Lazy so no photo's.
