Lettice Curtis Spitfire - HZone
Display Team, Extra, Shoreham 2015, The Blades

Following WWII the female Air Transport Auxiliary pilot Lettice Curtis took part in air racing. One of the aircraft that she  raced in was the  Mark XI photo reconnaissance Spitfire, PL963. This aircraft has recently been rebuilt by the Aircraft Restoration Company at Duxford. It had previously been a static gate guard at the Shuttleworth Collection making it particularly fitting that it be displayed as part of the Shuttleworth Race Day.
